F&P Billet Transfer System #4372

The System will handle, one at a time, 150mm x 150mm to 230mm x 160mm steel billets (180+ billets per hour) which have a temperature of 500+ degrees Celsius: transporting them from the mill cooling bed to an external storage area.

The length of the billets is from 4m to 13m and their individual weight is up to 4 tons.

At the beginning of the System there is a 20m long roller table which rotates 90 degrees in 20 seconds.

Total number of rollers: 42. Each roller with its own gearmotor.

All rollers and their supports are water cooled. Lubrication is centralised.

At the end of the System, four pistons with an overall strength of 300 tons will transfer the billets to a pick-up area via an overhead crane.
